Catkins
Walk to the pond at lunchtime, haven of peace, so still and quiet except for a woodpecker drilling in the woods opposite and a pair of squabbling magpies. Don't mind the sounds of nature as long as there are no planes, tractors or chain saws buzzing away, and today it was blissful in the sunshine. Some of these catkins are the longest I've ever seen, up to 6inches I guess.
