Early morning at the Lake

Went trout fishing this morning, started at around 8.00. It was so cold that as I retrieved the line the water from the line froze on in the rod rings causing an ice ball until it was impossible to move the line. I had to keep chipping the ice from the rings to continue fishing. The sun came out later but it really didn't warm up much but it was enough to stop the rings freezing.

However I caught a personal best rainbow of 11lb 8oz and another at 5lb 9oz and then down to the pub for Toad in the Hole and a pint of bitter.
