All puffed up!

This little cardinal is all puffed up, trying to keep warm on one of the coldest days so far this winter. When I got to the park for my walk, there was only one other vehicle where there are usually five or six on week days and sometimes many more.

I was as puffed up as the cardinal with two jackets, a hat, ear muffs, and a hood, two pair of gloves, heavy boots, and sweat pants. I was comfortable, except for my fingers, but the cardinal looked a lot cuter. Even the two pair of gloves couldn't keep my fingers from aching as the temperature hovered around 12 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 11 Celsius) and the wind made it feel like a few degrees above zero (around minus 17 Celsius).

Nevertheless, I am a Blipper, and we Blippers are a hardy and determined breed. Right, Blipfriends? Tomorrow is predicted to be just as cold or maybe a little colder, but I'm planning to go out and get my blip for the day...just as long as the ground isn't icy.
