Ice Surprise

With freezing rain and snow during the night, the area had a bit of ice this morning. I hustled on to work and noticed the roads seemed in very good shape. Of course once I parked the car and got out, that's when I noticed it was very icy (black ice)... No mishaps yet thank goodness. The sun was out all morning and I thought it should have melted all the ice by lunch. I went bounding out at lunch time to my car, and almost fell on my backside. I can't imagine how I looked catching my balance, but at least I didn't fall :D

This leaf is at home in the driveway between the house & garage. It was taken after I got home (hooray it is now still daylight when I get home). The leaf is still pretty well frozen in ice. I just thought it was a good indication of the day.
