Brick Works.

Its not often that something renders me speechless, but frankly today did. There is a brickworks about 20 minutes walk out of Banepa, and I decided to go there today.

This is the base of the brick kiln, and these two young boys were pulling ash out with their bare hands to put into the bucket....

It turns out that the vast majority of people working here are from Bihar in India and those that I talked to spoke even less Nepali than me.

Too many thoughts in my head at the moment, but the word that keeps coming back is medieval...

I'm going to go back, but its a somewhat unsettling experience...

I didn't take many photographs today, and I'm left with the 'what am I going to do with them. Anyway here are a few more.
