Whitstable Blue

Ventured to Whitstable today to do some 'street' photography. Froze my *&#$! off and discovered that it ain't so easy changing a lens when you can't feel your fingers. Initially found the 'street' style a bit intimidating and intrusive for the innocent passers-by who had no idea they were being captured in the photo. Got some interesting characters along with more inanimate objects and some great shots of quaint or quirky shop fronts and doors (which I'm thinking may turn into a project/series).

I'm not blipping one of today's characters as they didn't give permission to have their photograph taken, let alone have it appear online, so I'm choosing this shot of a boat near the shore. Love the blue colour and slightly distressed condition of the paint which seemed to typify the winter day by the sea.
