Sax Player at Fulton

Caught on my way home after my first week of my new job. It's nice to be able to use my new 85mm for shots like this. Reminds me of how awkward it felt at times to use a 50mm lens, where I would try to disappear a mere 5 feet or so away from my subject, and hope that my subject would play along and pretend I wasn't there. Sometimes I look back at some of my 50mm street shots and am embarrassed/amazed how close I got to my subjects (without their permission), but often times, if you're not close enough, you lose the necessary intimacy. My first subway blip was with a 50mm as well.

This wasn't as sharp as I would have liked. Because of the lighting, I should have put my camera into manual mode, or shutter priority. Depending on the lens, around 1/15th or so is about as low as I can go before camera shake becomes an issue.
