Edvard Munch

Spent the day with my parents in Rotterdam. Rotterdam is sort of in the middle for us, so my parents travel south and I travel north. We spent a lovely morning in the museum and an afternoon shopping.

We went to see an overview exhibition of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch in the Kunsthal (literally "Arthall" in English) museum. The exhibition is the first overview his work in the Netherlands, with more than 150 paintings and works on paper that all come from private collections.

Edvard Munch is primarily known for his painting "The Scream" (1893).

In this shot my mother is looking at some of his lithographs. Officially I wasn't allowed to take photographs, so I had to be quick! :)
