MLK Jr. Day

I woke up in the mood to bake something (this happens most every morning I don't have to go to work).

So I whipped up some chocolate orange scones. The dough was AWESOME, but I think I put in a little too many chocolate chips and not quite enough orange zest (or maybe the problem is that I used tangerine zest because it's all we had). Oh well, guess I'll just have to make them again!

(Approximately two hours after this picture was taken we discovered that the hot water heater had broken and was spewing water all over the laundry room. As you can imagine, it was a huge mess that resulted in needing to spend $$$).

But still. Scones. Highly recommended.
