Chef Carroll
Carroll, our former athletic director and long-time baseball coach, cooked 36 hamburgers, 12 turkey burgers, and 12 salmon burgers for the men's and women's soccer teams this afternoon. Everything was cooked to perfection. No wonder they named the University's baseball stadium after him! The soccer teams start their practices for the fall season next week.
Poor guy, though - the breeze kept pushing the smoke directly into his face during the entire time it took to cook all these burgers. He didn't complain though, except to mention that the ocean breezes almost always blow that direction and that the grill really should have been placed on the opposite side of the patio.
