surveying the damage. was out for a walk this morning when i heard a loud bang, so i scooted up the street and around the corner and came across this scene. accidents like this are so common in seoul; i've seen probably 5-10 times more here in 2 years than in the previous 28 years of my life combined. korean people are busy, always in a hurry, and this combined with a certain lack of spatial awareness makes situations like this the norm rather than the exception. thankfully traffic is so terrible that the cars never move that quickly, and the damage is usually minimal. could be worse!
