Kom Ombo

The Internet on the boat on the Nile is too slow and hard to use, so I will give it up for a few days til we are in Luxor. Continue to boggle our minds every day. Thus is a temple for the god Horus in the Greco-roman period- maybe 200bc. Egyptian mixed with Greek. One of the Ptolemy kings. There are cartouches for cleopatra- one of them anyway.
The Nile is beautiful- green with desert out of sight. It's all quite awesome actually- this is Tge first temple we have seem north of Nubia, so it wasn't moved away from the water.
The photo for the 22 was really the 19. Think the iPhone doesn't label the pix with the date!! Humm. Will fix it when I can.....
