Twilight Perspective--Paris

This is a view at 17:52 from our 4th floor apartment, looking more or less south down the Rue des Peupliers. It's worth viewing large.

The roundabout in the middle is the Place de l'Abbé Georges Hénocque (more about him here). The bus stop in the left foreground is served by the number 57.

It's fun to see the series of chimneys so characteristic of Paris silhouetted against the skyline to the left. Another curiosity is the small ladder on the building at the right--one wonders what sort of space it leads to.

I love this view, with its buildings, traffic, pedestrians at all hours and more. We've rented short-term in this building for five years--three years on the 3rd floor, and in winter 2010 and 2011 we moved (fortuitously) to the 4th floor, in the apartment exactly above the first, and thus with the same views (this is a much broader version).
