Love in a cold climate!

These love birds were an absolute heart-warming picture of adoration, grace and elegance this afternoon.

(I might be anthropomorphising a tad!)

But they made Swan Lake look like a Joyce Grenfell dance class!

I stood still for ten minutes and watched their courtship.
(The male is on the left of the picture).

These minutes of privileged observation were most therapeutic for me too!
The past two or three days have been a whirlwind, and I've had to accept that I'm a couple of blip responses behind :-(

On a positive note, the appendix patient is now tucked up in his own bed and being (age 29) a Very Brave Soldier :-)
So. Looking forward to a brand new week!
