March of the ducks

More local and lower based walk today - through Winster and surrounding area. There's a small tarn near Winster House that has a large number of ducks residing on its water. Most is still frozen much to our amusement and the ducks frustration. This is because as soon as we got too close the exodus to the safety of the frozen regions got under way in earnest. Looks like the chief duck (centre of the shot) is the one directing the troops - 'This way lads, chop chop, left right left right". made me laugh anyway!
