A vineyard in january
A vineyard in january is nothing much, really. It is still. The sap flows have yet to start.
The vigneron wrings his hands, not sure wether to start pruning or wait another few weeks. There's chalk he can spread, weeding he can do under the rows.
There are wires to be tightened and new vines to be planted.
Instead, the vigneron decides to pull out an old bistro chair and sits down with a glass of wine, contemplating life in general.
