you're invited into the tasting room

today my mother and i declared a bit of a mother-daughter day due to my nearing departure for quite some time. heading south the the nearest bigger town/city we stopped for some cross country skiing and a lovely lunch before heading up mission peninsula to do a bit of wine tasting. the unique weather on the peninsula provides for a great environment to grow grapes in our cold northern climate.

one of my mothers favorite wineries is somewhat known for their st bernard always frolicking somewhere around the vineyard. today he was waiting at the drive to escort us into the tasting room. although before we could get too far, he wanted to get a taste as well... of my mother's coat!
