We went to Saltaire today to buy a harp, but the weather was dreich and I was kept too busy paying for things to do much blipping.

I should emphasise that the harp was not for me - I got a miniature harmonica on a keyring - but for the ladies of the house who have decided to move away from such mundane instruments as the piano and lift their souls with the more ethereal harp. What we ended up with is, I gather, a small clarsach or Irish harp. I must admit it does sound good, even when played by a beginner.
