Blowing Snow Warning

Today is one of those days where I wish I was where I was a year ago - visiting the beautiful island of Maui! But no...we are here to take part in the lovely prairie blowing snow storm. We did manage to get out this morning and made it to church, eight miles away - wouldn't have done it without our Dodge 3/4 ton 4 x 4 down those drifty gravel roads. Some good family friends came over in their 4 x 4 from 1 hour away and we ended up having a very enjoyable day in our warm cozy home. Winds are gusting 40 - 60 km/hr this evening and overnight, and the kids are tucked in their beds with dreams of a snow day off from school in the morning. Time will tell....
