A good visual metaphor

Is that the right description for it? I don't know for sure but it kind of sums it up.

Took this on my way into work (on a Saturday) at the start of what turned out to be another long day. Kind of like these guys I guess.

Did make me wish I was cleaning windows today. Something nice and simple and not to taxing.
