3,000 years bad luck?
I bet you thought you have seen the last of this Christmassy type stuff - but unfortunately, no.
In the foyer of our office building stands a fully dressed christmas tree, constructed out of the best man-made materials that nature could avoid. In our house, we always make sure the decorations are taken down and packed away before the end of the twelfth night in order to avoid dire things happening. For some reason, the responsibility for taking down the tree has been shirked by those responsible for putting it up in the first place.
So I don't know what horrible nightmares will befall this office in divine retribution for the omission of such an important duty. Will a catastrophe hit just the people who didn't take it down, or will this catastrophe affect the whole office? Is it a coincidence that we're under the Manchester Airport flightpath?
Should I take out more life insurance. I'm getting a bit scared now.
Works is a bastard at the moment. I feel all sad and grumbly about the number of hours I'm having to spend in the office. I'll look in the fridge to see if there's anything to eat, but I have a feeling I'll end up with cold chicken-legs.
ooh! painful.
