Touch Down!

Well, the bonus of the day was the fact that by the time the VC10 was overhead Prestwick (where the plan was to get fuel after crossing the Atlantic) there was enough fuel to continue the whole way to RAF Brize Norton! Bonus! This meant arriving at 0600 instead of 0730! It did mean a quick call to hubby so he could throw some clothes on and pick me up!

Spent the day catching up on e-mails and doing the last two days back-blips! Also planned to get a power-nap (known as a combat-kip in the RAF) for 90 mins and woke up 5 1/2 hrs later. Oops... I may spend the night prowling the house awake with jet-lag!
