Ellis, my favourite photographer

1. Long lie, much needed and much loved, followed by bagels and coffee.

2. Some days you head for a 34 bus and you wait for literally hours. And some days, like today, one comes just as you arrive at the stop and your day can run all the smoother because of it.

3. A quick visit from Gilly, Caroline and Ellis who is my niece. There was a drop off, a pick up, some helping each other out. While they were here Ellis took this picture of me. I don't know if it stretches the rules if I don't take the picture, but it's on my camera and it's my favourite photo of the day. Ellis is 3 and this is how she sees me.

4. Today I got the things I needed kind of urgently from Ikea without actually having to go to Ikea. Thanks to Caroline and her assistant shoppers. How good is that?

5. A day spent slowly with papers and homemade nutty biscuits, an epic lasagna, bloody Mary's, brandy and Mad Men season 4.
