Victorian view
This is "The View From Richmond Hill" in London deliberately taken in sepia. Very little indeed will have changed in this famous view since sepia was the only choice in photography, perhaps 120 years ago. The Thames still winds towards the hill as it has done since it flowed 12,000 years ago through the forest into the huge proto-Rhine and northwards through the great plains of the North Sea.
