1st Annual Scintilla Christmas Tree Burning Party
We haven't had a "live" tree for Christmas for years. This year we picked out a nice one that really had a nice smell and filled out the living room beautifully (plus it really freaked out the cats). With the holidays wrapped up as it were and more needles accumulating on the carpet, it was time to dispose of the old girl. What better way in single digit temperatures than to torch it. This is the semi-aftermath. Here is the full sequence of the burn which occurred in a 90 second span. I guess next year I can forgo the cup of diesel fuel I poured onto it. I'm thinking that fast burn showed up as a missile launch on NORAD's satellites.
