I've never ventured into this neighborhood thrift shop, though it appears they a large collection of finery. NYC thrift shops are really hit or miss. The ones with the truly great vintage stuff charge more than most can afford. Most of these little shops in my neighborhood exist on lower-than-normal stabilized or controlled rents and donated inventory. Monk's is actually a "chain" thrift store, as it has sister stores each on Avenues A, B, and C in Alphabet City.
