Funny Things
Our kids ADORE their Daddy and I LOVE this photo. Our daughter holding on for a piggyback ride.....and at that moment, there was no where else on earth that she would have rather been.....than with her Daddy!
Funny Things:
Almost every time I talk to my Mom on the phone she says,
"Tell me something funny that the kids did today"
It's always easy to come up with something and I love love LOVE hearing my Mom's laughter on the other end as I tell a couple of funny stories. So Mom, here are a couple of funny stories from today.
My daughter: I bought my daughter a new pair of shoes today. They were half off and absolutely too darling to pass up. Thank goodness they were half off because would I have dared pay full price for them? Maybe. That is how outrageously cute they are. The selling point is the set of twinkling lights on the front of each shoe that light up every single time she takes a step. She loves them. Adores them. And she thinks that she is very fast in them. She calls them her, "soccer shoes". And it is impossible for her to just walk in them. She must dance, jump, hop, skip, sprint and twirl. She has already had one wipeout and a few tears. She insists on looking at her feet everywhere she goes. Too bad the curb got in the way. Luckily Daddy was right there to give her that great big hug that she was looking for.
My son: Today I warned my son that we would be having a "New Kitchen, New Rules" dinner. He is the one who needs time to process this information. He wasn't thrilled but at this point, he knew it wouldn't help whining about it. When I put his plate in front of him filled with scrumptious black bean and cheese quesadillas, he instantly started in on the, "ooooo, yuck.....I do not like those black beans" (covering his hand over his mouth the whole time). So I walked around the table and picked up a quesadilla. I dipped it in sour cream and no nonsense said, "Take a bite". He took a bite. A tiny bite but still a bite. And here is the kicker, after swallowing his first bite he looked at me with a huge smile and said, "That was delicious!!!!" and then finished his entire dinner. Ooooooh wow. The hoops he makes us jump through sometimes.........
Two funny stories for you Mom. I know you'll appreciate them as each story fits their little personalities so well! I love you!!
