From the air

So many wonderful sights, so much history! But I thought this photo gives a good idea of the land. An early morning ride in a balloon, the sun and the Nile are right behind me. You can maybe appreciate the strip of farmland that abruptly becomes desert. At the end of the road I think you can see Queen Hatshepsut, female pharaoh for 15 years 3500 years ago, - her mortuary temple, partly cut out of the rock. Walked all around there yesterday- talk about appropriate architecture for the landscape! She did import some trees.
Too much to tell- but at least the Internet works now at a hotel i'n Luxor. More tomorrow!
