Highland Coos

Well today is Burns Night so thought I could get away with it even though it is a bit of a stereotypical view of Scotland.

I went to visit my friend today and she lives on a farm. We went for a walk and thought this was too good a chance to miss. I must confess it is the first time I have been so close to Highland Cattle and I was really surprised how soft their coat is. I had imagined it to be wiry and rough. The one walking towards us was very curious and I wasn't able to get a close up because he was far too interested in the camera to allow me to take a good shot. Don't you just love the little one!
