A thousand words.

Yesterday was the hottest day I've spent in Australia so far. I spent most of it inside the gloriously air-conditioned computer room doing work.

At night, a slew of students from our residential college headed to the lakeside to watch the Australia Day concert and fireworks. The hot weather broke and gave way to a gorgeous breeze. When night hit, the fireworks display was perfect - the evening was a wonderful closer to the summer.

But the night wasn't quite over. Four of us decided to conquer Mt Ainslie at night, in the dark - which we did, with admirable speed given the complete absence of assisting light. One of the randomest things I've ever done, but I enjoyed myself immensely.
