Charming Creek tunnel
The Charming Creek walkway is a pretty spectacular 3 hour walk that follows a disused private railway through native bush. The walk includes several tunnels and bridges. The largest is a 37-m suspension bridge across the Ngakawau River. The flash highlighted far more detail than we could see as it was very dark and we had no torch. Towards the far end lie remains of rail sleepers and tracks. We didn't walk the whole track, just a small section at the Seddonville end. All through the track, remnants of the mining operation can be found.
