Blisters
As I walked around the flat this evening, camera in hand, looking for something to blip, I'd completely forgotten about the shots I'd taken earlier of chocolate cake piled high with raspberries and thick cream and macros of Gerald's eye.
As I glanced in to the bathroom to check on my DIY progress I was amazed to see blistering paint. The instructions told me there would be blistering softened paint but the first time I'd put the paint stripper on there had been no blisters, there had barely been softened paint. It had taken a good deal of elbow grease to remove anything but a fine layer of magnolia from the top of the previous layer. It's looking promising that we might eventually get the paint off the walls and be able to begin the process of repainting. If only they'd painted it with bathroom paint to begin with.
In other news, the Dell technicians finally came back to replace my motherboard and keyboard. Great but there's still a tiny crackle and the backlight on my keyboard still doesn't work!
