Agave and the Late Afternoon Sun
This is the Agave Americana,
better known as the Century Plant.
It grows to as high as 7'
with a spread of 8'-12'
and its single flower stalk
can get as tall as 30' high.
It won't put up a flower stalk
till it is about 10 years old,
then will die in 3 years after flowering.
It does put out 'pups' before expiring.
'Pups' are baby plants that form at its base.
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks
