The Most Exclusive Nightclub in Town

The sign says " Hudson Bay, Ashton's Most Exclusive Nightclub". I think that this nightclub closed down several years ago due to endless problems with drunken brawling.

The street Hudson Bay is on was the shopping high street in town when I was a small child. Now, all people want are pound shops, clothing chain stores, Boots, Argos, etc. None of these shops are found on this street. So, lots of the beautiful buildings are now either struggling to stay open, empty or are charity shops. Only a few shops, mostly at the other end of the street, seem to be doing ok.
