The House on the Corner

The low winter sun, in the early afternoon, made the shadow of the tree look like the skeleton of a virginia creeper climbing across the walls.
There is, in fact, a vine which grows from the inside of the wall otwards. It's just visible below the right hand , bottom window.
The walls of these houses are so thick that they can be home to tree roots, snakes, rats and mice.....
