New Year's Day Tri

Happy New Year one and all!

We spent new year's day racing around arthur's seat like a bunch of loons at the new year's day tri in Edinburgh.

Felt so unbelievably nervous beforehand largely due to this being my first triathalon and even more so due to the fact that I am very unfit and underprepared.

Highlights: the swim, not falling of my bike and taking part
Lowlights: running outside in my swimming costume in the icy wind for the first transition in the Commonwealth Pool car park and the fourth ascent in lashing rain (this time running or stumbling) up Arthur's Seat.

Great event and great atmosphere and the glass(es) of fizz taste pretty good from the warmth of our wee flat tonight.
