Cold morning at Langford Lakes
Langford Lakes nature reserve is next to the River Wylye (pronounced Why Lee) near Steeple Langford in Wiltshire. It is a legacy of gravel extraction, the flooded pits becoming ideal habitat for water fowl and kingfishers - and anglers.
I went there this morning to meet up with the warden to discuss a graphic design/identification panel job. It was bitter cold and I didn't feel well later this afternoon.
Scotch now needed as a (purely medicinal) nightcap.
