Crosstown Traffic

This is taken from the flyover on the highway next to my work and home. It's about 11pm, so the traffic has calmed down, but the roads in Gwangju are still filled with maniacal drivers.

Korea is #1 in OECD countries in car fatalities and in child deaths by traffic accidents. Climbing into a cab can sometimes be terrifying and the bus drivers are known to power along the roads, making up for lost time on a previous stop...

That said, I find there's something therapeutic about standing there watching the world go by.
