Interesting bedfellows?

It's another ladybird. *Hangs head in embarrassment*
I am more than sheepish to blip another, but at least they're a splash of colour!
And this is a one-to-one combination I haven't seen before at the ladybird conventions which seem to choose our garden for raves.

I've tried to identify the black one, thinking at first it might be a kidney-spot, but on closer inspection (and more red spots!) it might be a melanic form of the 2-spot ladybird. The charts seem to suggest it is too small to be a harlequin..?? The red one is a 7-spot, we have an abundance of them.

I wanted to go further afield but the 'stay-in-and-get-the-bathroom-radiator- fixed' option won the day.

But hey! It's Friday! It's five to five*... It's....
... Almost sun over the yardarm... Happy Friday!

(Hands up all those who thought '... Crackerjack')
*Poetic license : it's almost five to five!
