Huh
Sun, said the forecast. What it didn't say was that it would wait until I was safely inside my office this afternoon and then come out. So it was a grey walk over the Chapel Common this morning with a nasty cold wind, which I had opted to do in favour of staying in the warm and watching Andy Murray get into the final of the Australian Open. Anyway, well done him.
I think I'm becoming quite keen on crows. It might just be because they're about the only birds I ever seem to come across (other than pigeons). While taking this shot a man walked up behind me and said 'hello'. Up until that point I'd been the only person on the whole common, as far as I could tell. I said a slightly reticent 'hello' back while wondering what he was doing walking around with neither a dog nor a camera. Just as I was becoming convinced he must be dodgy, a tiny dachshund appeared behind him and I breathed a sigh of relief.
