Today I have enjoyed some time being played with again. After my travels, it has been nice to be in the hands of a child. She was very careful and gentle too, and ensured that I remained properly clothed for the cold weather.

The affection that was shown served as a rather fitting reminder of the importance of our mission. I am not the 'favoured' friend of this child, yet there was love shown by her, so if we can give other children a favoured friend to love, how much more pleasure and joy will we be bringing, particularly if those children are not experiencing much at that time?
