A few doors down from the company's London office is this cafe where I breakfasted this morning (delicious poached egg and black pudding with hollandaise). Over the years I've been visiting Angel I've walked past this cafe when there have been film cameras inside and also seen it in fashion spreads in the glossy magazines one sees in the dentist's waiting room.

This morning there were flyers on the tables for the upcoming movie adaptation of Graham Greene's Brighton Rock which, given its period setting, I suspect might have used this old favourite as a location - I will watch with interest.

The cafe is called S&M and during the day specialises - as you might have guessed from the name(?) - in Sausage and Mash.

Repost following justsitting's comment. I had gone for a desaturated finish, weighing that up against a mono finish but, darn it, you were right, And then experimenting with a different crop led me to this which i think is a bit more interesting.
