Sorry, it's sentimental.

When you love someone, you like to give them nice things.

She always loved Jaguar mark IIs. When I met her she had little, she gave up most of what she had to be with me. She kept this model car, which she's had for longer than me.

Earlier this week was our tenth anniversary. We had all sorts of plans including a very posh hotel, restaurant, and, well, luxury. But sadly, reality kicked in, and we had to spend too many hundreds of pounds keeping her (less glamorous) car on the road. I'm pleased we can afford these unexpected bills, but sad that this one couldn't have happened a month later. Still, we stayed in, watched a film, and relaxed, so it was still nice.

We may never get what we want. But at least it's sort of in reach. Hope it's not fading away...
