Painting Day
So despite my recent illness, the new artist space is really coming along. (Compare to Jan. 18th's photo). Today we painted the walls in one studio (not in the picture) and built walls for a second, as seen off to the right. The hideously purple and green carnival stripes in the main room have been replaced with a neutral gallery-like color described as, Caffe Latte'.
We hope to have everything up and running by February 7th, with a show opening that includes work from all the artists who generously shared of their time, labor and materials.
In this shot, one of our volunteers is taking a moment to rest while everyone else congregates in the other room. It was a very long day...
