Lamp post

This lovely old lamp post is in Selwood Road, Frome, which is in the Trinity area of the town.
History lesson: about half of the area was demolished under a Slum Clearance Order in the 1960s but then it was discovered that the area was a rare example of early industrial housing, having been built between 1660 and 1756 in a very unusual early example of a planned grid-pattern. The remainder of the area was saved and restored.
