Another picture of Mt. Blanc

Well, it's just so big and difficult to avoid isn't it. And it does make a great subject, what with it being completely immobile. This is the Italian side of Mt. Blance, and the border with France runs along a natural system of peaks and ridges which do a good job of keeping weather systems from roaming into France. The cloud bank in the picture was stuck there all day.

Courmayeur, the scene of my infamous broken leg, is the resort on the Italian side of Mt. Blanc, but is not visible from Val (like I'd care about seeing that place again!).

Today's snippet of dance floor artistry from the 'entertainer' at La Folie Douce....

"I'm a f*%^$ing alcoholic
You're a f*%^$ing alcoholic"

...delivered without any apparent irony, but maybe that's his accent.

He must work really hard on his lyrics.
