Urban birding

Today I went urban birding along the River Don, from the city centre to Meadowhall (shopping centre). It's astonishing how many great birds you can see in an urban environment. After posting a pretty poor, distant shot of a fieldfare last week because it was a first sighting for me, and I thought I might not see one again before they all disappear for the summer, typically one came and nearly pecked out my eye very close to the city centre. So I'm having to fall back on this kingfisher for today's blip ;-D
