Day off

I warned the boys (all three of them!) last night that as I was still ill and TPD was home today, I was going to embrace the sickness and wallow. Because I can.

Early wimperings (6ish) from Son Two were settled by TPD, who then came back to bed. We woke a good couple of hours later to hear the boys playing together in their room - bliss! Next step is to train the small one to descend the stairs safely and the big one to make 'em both breakfast, and job's a goodun ;-)

Lounged in bed reading the paper and drinking coffee, then had a family go at the general knowledge crossword.

Son One got this Meccano set for Christmas btw. We started making it together whilst TPD took the small one out to forage for provisions. He then decided very generously to let me build it for him! That boy knows how to keep his old ma happy :-D So whilst he went off partying this afternoon I stayed upstairs and completely without swearing and getting irate at the stupidly small fiddly pieces painstakingly put this together.

TPD is just running me a bath, bless 'im, and has changed the sheets. Unbidden :-O
