Playing with the camera they bought me for grabbing photos in the pits. Snapped this as I drove past the interchange nearest mi casa. Look! Hardly any traffic!! Lovely Saturday, too.

So today I'm supposed to meet good friends in L.A. for drinks and dinner at a new and trendy Mexican food place downtown. Not really excited about it, but mostly because I've become incredibly cheap and cannot stand the thought of spending all of that money on food and bev. This too shall pass. I shall be my reasonably-spending self again soon enough.

The good part is going to be seeing those friends that I haven't seen in a really long time. These are good people, the lot.

5 Things I'm Thankful For today

1) The story I wrote this morning. I think it turned out pretty nice thanks to the subject!
2) The new camera for work. I think we'll be fast friends. It's pretty easy to use!
3) Really fun banter with the bestie this afternoon. Things are getting back to how they should be as the season is approaching. We are fun.
4) Cheesy bread. It's sitting there on the counter looking at me, though.
5) The pleasant breeze flowing through my windows. I guess sunny winter isn't all bad.
