An inverted view of life on the Ythan marshes
This afternoon I enjoyed a walk across the salt marshes of the Ythan estuary. The grass tussocks form lovely billowing patterns on the ground, made even more interesting by inverting the colours. Well, at least I think they are interesting, you may disagree!
The 'white" circular hole on top of the large tussock is the entrance to the tunnel system of a field vole.
